Our History
Tony Brindle is the musician behind the Choir, formed in October 2011. Together with a group of fellow enthusiasts they decided to form a temporary choir for Christmas, however it has proved so popular it has grown to a group of up to 150 singers.
Since the group started they have performed at many festivals, galas, weddings, funerals, charity functions and awards ceremonies.
Our Philosophy
We are a socially inclusive choir who welcome adults of all ages to take part in the joy of music and singing. We are aware of the many benefits of singing which are physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and social.
We aim to provide an activity where local people can meet and undertake a common activity. The help choir members become more self-confident singers and to learn how to improve their voices and how to harmonise. Also we aim to perform in public at local community. charity and private events.
Sadly, the choir does not perform at weddings, funerals or community events in August. This is due to the fact that many of our members are usually unavailable due to holidays.
